✨ Introduction: Jess had it all on paper. A high-powered VP, a six-figure salary, three kids under seven, and a husband who traveled constantly for work. She had the status, the perks, and the outward success.
But inside?
She was a burnout waiting to happen.
She felt like she was drowning in overwhelm, stretched so thin that she feared one collapse personally or professionally would take her entire life down with it.
She was desperate for a way out.
My first job? Throw her a life preserver.
Give her hope that things could change fast. She grabbed on, and together we began working through The 7 Pillars of a Happy & Successful Life.
Jess struggled here. She’d been on autopilot for so long that she barely knew herself anymore.
What did she truly value? What made her feel alive? At first, her answers were vague, but we kept digging.
This felt like a win for Jess. She prided herself on looking polished and professional.
But when we examined her actual health, she realized she had been neglecting long-term wellness in favor of keeping up appearances.
Jess had never considered herself particularly resilient—until I asked how she handled COVID.
Pregnant with her second child and working from home, she had navigated massive disruptions better than most.
That realization shifted how she saw herself.
Jess had grown up deeply involved in her family’s church but drifted away in adulthood.
She missed the grounding and sense of community and decided to explore different faiths to find her spiritual home.
No surprises—Jess had this locked down.
But did it align with her values? That was the real question.
Financially secure but not intentional.
Jess realized she needed to connect her money to her long-term goals, not just maintain a high income.
This was the game-changer.
Relationships, she realized, were fueling much of her stress.
Here were her biggest “aha” moments:
✅ She wanted her husband to go through this process too, so they could align their priorities.
✅ She was ready to stop being a people pleaser and set professional boundaries without fearing backlash.
✅ She was done with corporate games and red tape—she saw that she had the power to influence change.
✅ Her nanny was a huge stressor—chronically negative and leaving her kids unhappy every evening. It was time for a change.
We then flipped the script. I asked:
What characteristics do you value most in the people around you?
Her list was short but powerful:
✔ Integrity
✔ Humor
✔ Compassion
✔ Intelligence
✔ Trustworthiness
Then I asked:
If these are the traits you demand in others, shouldn’t they also be the foundation of how you see yourself?
🔥 She set firm boundaries at work, cutting stress and overtime while actually increasing her productivity. The shift was immediate and blew her away.
🔥 She replaced her nanny with someone whose values aligned with hers. The kids were happier, calmer, and excited when she came home. She joked, “She’s not Mary Poppins, but some days it feels like it.”
🔥 Her husband saw the changes but hesitated to start the program. Her response?
“It’ll actually save you time.”
He had no comeback for that.
